Anurag Mendhekar is a serial entrepreneur who thrives on transforming breakthrough ideas into successful companies. As Co‑Founder and President of Paper Culture, he unites his love of technology and design to create planet‑friendly products while advancing research that reduces the energy footprint of artificial intelligence. His commitment to accessible AI also led him to co‑author The Little Learner: A Straight Line to Deep Learning.

A pioneer of the mobile internet, Anurag founded Online Anywhere, which Yahoo! acquired to form the Yahoo! Everywhere division. There he helped propel Yahoo!’s content and services onto mobile devices around the globe. He has since launched ventures such as Blue Vector, and Cinova, drawing on his expertise in large‑scale sensor networks, image and video compression, and Virtual Reality. In addition to building his own companies, he serves as an advisor to multiple startups spanning diverse industries.

Anurag began his career at Xerox PARC, where he co‑invented Aspect‑Oriented Programming, a milestone in software modularity. He has published numerous scientific papers, holds seventeen patents, and earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Indiana University, an M.Sc. (Engg) from the Indian Institute of Science, and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Bombay University. Indiana University honored him with its Distinguished Asian Pacific American Alumni Award.
