Cory is an entrepreneur that brings more than 25 years of experience including high-profile roles in executive-level management, operations, marketing, and sales positions, and he is known for his extensive experience in building successful businesses across a variety of industry categories.

At MasteryConnect Cory lead corporate strategic initiatives, sales/business development, operations, and fundraising, raising over $30M in venture capital, and grew the company to over $20M Bookings, growing approximately 100% every year. One of the key partnerships Cory created was with Instructure. The team created a platform that serves over 3.2M teachers, and 38M students in 85% of the US School Districts and 170 countries. MasteryConnect was acquired by Instructure, April 2019.

Prior to MasteryConnect Cory was the CEO of Instructure as a member of the founding team. Instructure disrupted the Learning Management System market initially focused on higher education, quickly expanding into k-12. There he was recruited to lead and grow while in pre-beta, and was responsible for creating the business plan, setting Instructure’s overall corporate strategy, raising a venture capital round, developing and directing business operations. He also built the originated and lead the opportunity with Utah Educational Network, resulting in a multi-yr, multi-million dollar contract awarded to Instructure.

Currently Cory is the North America GM for Cuemath, a Mastery focused 1:1 global math tutoring company. Prior to joining Cuemath, he was a Managing Director for Tyton Partners, an investment bank / consulting firm focused on global education. While at Tyton Partners Cory focused on relationships in China, EU, India and US.
